Terms & conditions
The terms for buying from AVREN — who we are, how ordering and payment work, and your rights as a consumer.
Seller
AVREN is the trading name of IVANOV CATERING, a sole proprietorship (enkeltpersonforetak) registered in Norway.
Organisation number: 936 182 402 MVA VAT registered (Merverdiavgiftsregisteret) Business address: Asperholen 125, 4329 Sandnes, Norway Contact: info@avren.no
Scope and B2B sales
These terms apply to consumer purchases made directly on avren.no — via the configurator, the menu, or the online shop. Sales to business customers through the B2B catalogue (accessed via /registrer to /for-bedrift/katalog) are not governed by these terms, but by a separate agreement entered into directly between AVREN and the business in question.
Formation of the contract
Orders are placed via the website — either by building a menu in the configurator, ordering directly from the menu, or shopping in the online store. The contract is formed once the order is confirmed by AVREN, not merely when it is submitted by the customer. Confirmation is sent to the email address provided, or arranged directly with the customer.
Prices and payment
All prices are shown in Norwegian kroner (NOK) and include value added tax (VAT/MVA), unless clearly stated otherwise. The total price, including any delivery or additional costs, is shown before the order is confirmed.
Payment is made using whichever payment methods are offered on the website at the time of ordering.
Delivery
AVREN delivers to addresses within the defined delivery zones in the Nord-Jæren region. Orders to addresses outside the coverage area unfortunately cannot be completed.
Delivery time and any delivery fee depend on the delivery zone and the size and type of the order, and are shown when ordering.
Right of withdrawal — exceptions for made-to-order food and catering
As a consumer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Norwegian angrerettloven (Act of 20 June 2014 No. 27). However, most of AVREN's deliveries fall under the exceptions in § 22 of that Act — see the dedicated right of withdrawal and returns page for full details, including which exception applies to which type of order.
Cancellation before production
Regardless of the right of withdrawal, an order can be cancelled free of charge up until no later than 48 hours before it is due to go into production. After that point, cancellation is no longer possible, since ingredients and working time have already been committed to your specific order. If you want to cancel, contact info@avren.no as early as possible.
Complaints about faults or defects
If the goods or service do not match what was agreed — for example wrong contents, transport damage, or a quality issue — you can raise a complaint with AVREN within a reasonable time after discovering, or after you should have discovered, the defect, under the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven). Contact info@avren.no with your order details and a description of the issue, and we'll find a solution — a fix, replacement, price reduction, or refund, depending on the situation.
Force majeure
AVREN is not liable for delays or failure to deliver caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as extreme weather, government orders, supplier failures, or other unforeseen events. The customer will be notified as soon as possible if such a situation affects an order.
Complaints to an independent body
If you and AVREN cannot reach an agreement, you may bring the matter to the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or the Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet, forbrukerradet.no).
Changes to these terms
AVREN may update these terms as needed, for example due to changes in its services or in the law. The version in force is always the one published on this page at the time of ordering.
In case of conflict between language versions of these terms, the Norwegian version prevails.
