Waste, packaging and local sourcing — what we actually do, without the self-praise.
Less waste
We plan quantities based on actual orders rather than guesswork, and portion ingredients so that as little as possible is wasted during production. Whatever is still left over, we try to put to further use where we can, rather than treating it as something to simply throw away.
Packaging
Where practically possible, we choose packaging that can be reused or easily sorted for recycling, rather than single-use options. This is an ongoing, item-by-item judgement rather than a finished formula — some products require vacuum packaging for shelf life and hygiene reasons, and there that consideration weighs heavier than the wish to minimise packaging.
Local sourcing
We look to suppliers in the Nord-Jæren region and Western Norway where we can, rather than defaulting to sourcing everything from far away. This is partly about shorter transport and partly about knowing the origin of the ingredients we use — but we won't claim that everything is local at all times, as that wouldn't be honest.
